Saw an argument about back to office. A CxO wrote “Some people won’t work unless they’re at work.” He’s right. Some folks will not work unless they’re supervised. I don’t trust him to work unsupervised, either. Because I suspect he’s projecting.

I worked roles where clock watching and doing the minimum allowed surival. And I’m ashamed of the quality of work I produced in those roles. Does the CxO take unacceptable risks? Does the CxO take actions to the detriment of the company and the employees? Do those don’t work employees do the same?

Someone else pointed out that flexibility is about trust, not work from wherever.
